We're excited to announce some slick new upgrades to the wisp editor experience! First up, we've added a handy slash command that gives you a Notion-like experience for quickly formatting content.
Type "/" for new menu
Just type "/" and a menu will pop up allowing you to easily insert things like headings, lists, code blocks, quotes, and images. No more fiddling with toolbar buttons or remembering keyboard shortcuts. The slash command puts all the formatting options at your fingertips in a clean, unobtrusive way.
For those who love keyboard shortcuts, don't worry - all the existing ones still work as before. But now you've got a choice of using the slash menu or keyboard combos, whichever fits your workflow better.
Image placeholders
Speaking of images, we've also supercharged that experience with some key upgrades. Now when you add an image to your post, you'll see a placeholder graphic while the upload is in progress. This lets you keep on writing and editing without interruption or delays.
No more waiting around for that image to upload before moving on. Just drop it in and keep that creative flow going! The placeholder will be automatically replaced with your uploaded image once it's ready to be served.
Faster than before
Additionally, we've improved the overall speed and reliability of image uploads. Your images will now zip through the upload process and get served lightning fast from our CDN thanks to some under-the-hood optimizations.
These new features are designed to make writing and formatting blog posts even smoother, faster, and more seamless in wisp.
We can't wait to see what you create!
